Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information taskden collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to everyone who uses taskden to connect their apps and delegate work to AI workers.
Last updated: June 27, 2026
1. Overview and scope
taskden ("taskden", "we", "us", or "our") provides a service that lets you connect your own applications — such as Gmail, Slack, and HubSpot — and delegate tasks to AI workers that act on your behalf across those tools. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with our websites, applications, and related services (together, the "Service").
This policy covers personal information we process as a business about our users and the people who interact with the Service. When you connect a third-party app, the data inside that app remains governed by your agreement with that provider; this policy explains what we do with the data a worker accesses on your instruction. It does not cover third-party services you choose to connect, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account or workspace, we collect information such as your name, email address, login credentials, workspace and organization details, and billing information you provide to start or manage a subscription.
Content and data from connected apps
When you connect an application and ask a worker to perform a task, the worker accesses the data in that app that is necessary to complete the task you delegated — for example, the contents of an email thread, a Slack message, or a CRM record. We process this content only to carry out the task you requested and to operate the related features of the Service. The scope of access is limited to the abilities and connections you grant.
Usage, logs, and audit records
We record information about how the Service is used, including the tasks you create, the actions a worker proposes and performs, approvals and denials, timestamps, and the actor behind each step. These audit records exist so you can review exactly what any worker did, when, and why. We also collect technical logs such as IP address, error reports, and diagnostic data.
Device and cookie information
When you use our websites and applications, we collect standard device and browser information — such as browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address — and information from cookies and similar technologies, as described in the Cookies section below.
3. How we use information
- To perform delegated tasks. We use account information and the content a worker accesses in your connected apps to carry out the specific tasks you assign and to apply your approval policies before any sensitive action runs.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service. We use usage data, logs, and audit records to provide core functionality, maintain reliability, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve features and performance.
- To communicate with you. We use your contact details to send service and security notices, respond to support requests, and — where permitted — share product updates. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.
Subprocessors
- Pipedream Connect brokers the connections between taskden and your applications across our 2,700+ integrations. Credentials for connected apps are stored with this integration provider and used to execute the actions you authorize.
- AI model providers process task inputs so a worker can reason about and execute the work you delegate. We send only the content needed to perform the task and work with providers that handle that content under contractual confidentiality terms.
- Infrastructure and operational vendors such as hosting, storage, logging, and payment processors help us run and secure the Service under agreements that restrict their use of your information.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of taskden, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
If taskden is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require that the recipient honor this policy or notify you of any material change.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Audit records and logs are retained for the period necessary to support security, troubleshooting, and your own review needs. After your account is closed, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Security
Security and control are built into the Service rather than added as an option:
- Approval gates. Sensitive actions pause and wait for your explicit sign-off, so you see exactly what a worker intends to do before it happens.
- Scoped, least-privilege access. Each worker is granted only the abilities and connections it needs for its job — an ability the worker was not granted is simply unavailable to it.
- Encrypted, brokered credentials. Connections to your apps are brokered through Pipedream Connect, where credentials are stored encrypted, scoped per workspace, and never exposed to the model.
- Workspace isolation. Every workspace is isolated, so one tenant's data and connections are never visible to another.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from within the Service or by contacting us at the address below.
- Access and export. You can review your account data and audit records and request a copy of your information.
- Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Disconnecting apps. You can disconnect any connected app or disable any worker at any time. Disconnecting an app revokes the worker's access to it, and in-flight work stops at the next approval gate.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, maintain security, and understand how the Service is used. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function; others help us measure and improve it. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International data transfers
taskden operates internationally, and your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect personal information when it is transferred across borders.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at privacy@taskden.ai.
